Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP are looking to give someone the opportunity to gain experience and work with their Client accounting team. The Accounts Apprentice role is within the Client Accounting function and will be split into a minimum of two elements to include Sales Ledger & Purchase Ledger.
What you will do in your working day
Sales Ledger:
- Allocation of daily cash received on the HTC TRAMPS system
- Daily/Weekly reconciliation of central bank accounts held by HTC
- Monthly global reconciliation of all central bank, discrete client and tenant deposit accounts held by HTC
- Preparation and production of monthly charges to tenants
- Preparation and production of monthly utility recharges to tenants
- Tenant account reconciliations as an when required
- Assist the Credit Controller with the recovery of tenant outstanding debt
Purchase Ledger:
- Daily maintenance of the purchase ledger and utilities mailbox
- Reviewing and preparation of new supplier invoices received for logging
- Daily logging of supplier invoices received in the mailboxes to the HTC TRAMPS system
- Weekly monitoring of the utility portals for the supply of new demands for the period
- Preparation of approved supplier invoices for the weekly payment run
- Verification and set-up on new supplier information
- Review and reconciliation of supplier statement of accounts
- Liaising with supplier queries and reconciliation of their account to ensure swift payment of outstanding supplier invoices
The training you will be getting
Training to be provided:
- Level 2 AAT
- Functional Skills Maths and English (If required)
- Training on Employment, Rights and Responsibilities
- The development of personal, learning and thinking skills
- The training provider for this Apprenticeship will be City of Bristol College who will support you in working towards achieving your qualification
Apprenticeship standard:
- Accounts / Finance Assistant
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship
- Upon the completion of the Apprenticeship there will be opportunity to continue into further higher-level apprenticeships with Hartnell Taylor Cook which will expand on their skills and introduce new elements of the Client Accounting function such as Service Charge Accounts and Client Accounting
- Full-time recruitment into the Client Accounting team at Hartnell Taylor Cook
