Associate Director – Lease Advisory – London



The Professional department at Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP has a position available immediately in our London office for a Director to join our Lease Advisory team.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to become an integral part of a growing team, having responsibility for your own caseload and clients. There will be a broad variety of work including provision of valuation advice and lease advisory services and your input and commitment will be highly valued and rewarded.

The Professional team has an established client base for its lease advisory work including corporate occupiers, property companies, institutional investors, retailers and local authorities. We work across a range of property sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute leasing strategies to maximise on all occupancy and rental revenue for a key portfolio of properties
  • Reading and summarising leases
  • Inspecting and measuring properties
  • Establish and nurture strong working relationships with tenants, property owners and external parties to enhance all leasing opportunities
  • Collating evidence and compiling both pre-negotiation reports for advisory work
  • Negotiating rent reviews, lease renewals, surrenders and re-gears on behalf of landlords and tenants (as appropriate)
  • Preparing reports for 3rd party referrals
  • Preparation of heads of terms for lease renewals
  • Ensure compliance with leasing regulation and best practices.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor information to drive leasing growth
  • Win new business and retain an established client base. We are looking for someone who can generate their own work, actively seeking new opportunities.

Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record  of working within Lease Advisory at AD / Director level
  • Hold MRICS qualification
  • Results-oriented approach to work, with a focus on delivering exceptional leasing outcomes and driving all revenue growth opportunities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build longstanding relationships with clients, tenants and colleagues alike.
  • Ability to plan and prioritise workload to ensure timely completion of tasks/instructions
  • High degree of analytical skills; taking a strategic approach to work
  • Excellent report writing skills Full, clean driving licence essential
