Bid Administrator (P/T) – London



Hartnell Taylor Cook has a position available in our London office for an experienced Bids Administrator to join the team three-days a week (hybrid)

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in providing a comprehensive administration support function to a wider team. You will demonstrate excellent organisation skill, attention to detail and work well in a collaborate team environment. You will be required to use a high degree of self-management and initiative.

Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP is an Independent Commercial Property Consultant. We provide a comprehensive service covering all aspects of Commercial Property located throughout the UK with an established reputation for our specialist knowledge nationwide and all facets of the commercial property market.

Key responsibilities: –

  • Support Directors in executing bids (for new work with public and private sector clients)
  • Manage public sector portals for new bid related documents and communications
  • Support with bid writing activity, creating content and proof reading
  • Receive, process, record and track all tender opportunities
  • Take ownership of key event trackers (based on Excel)
  • Assisting with the drafting and issuing of internal regular reporting relating to bids and public sector
  • Comprehensive diary management; arrange meetings and maintain diaries for the wider team
  • Electronic file management
  • Manage the wider teams invoice approvals (including PO allocation)
  • Update new supplier forms and manage any changes to details
  • Manage various departmental spreadsheets and trackers
  • Provide administrative support with the management of public sector frameworks
  • Provide a front of house service; managing all incoming calls and meet/greeting visitors to the building  and other adhoc administration duties

Skills and Experience: –

  • Proven administration / senior administration experience
  • Bid writing experience is highly advantageous 
  • Strong proof reading experience
  • Advanced IT skills including outlook, Word, Excel and office products
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills 
  • The ability to write clear, concise reports
  • Strong communication/telephone skills
  • Confidence to work on your own initiative
