Investment Director – London



We have an immediate opportunity for an Investment Director in our central London office This role requires a RICS-qualified professional with 5-10 years of post-qualification experience in Investment Agency. The ideal candidate will have a strong market profile, a proven track record in sales and acquisitions across multiple sectors, and an ability to develop and grow a team.

The London Agency team at Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP has an established client base for its investment work, including developers, property companies, institutional and private investors, and retailers. We operate across multiple property sectors and are now seeking a highly capable individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing new instructions and advising on prospective and existing sale instructions across central London
  • Advising clients on marketing strategies and achievable sales prices.
  • Managing and concluding sales transactions.
  • Identifying client requirements and sourcing/acquiring suitable investment properties.
  • Conducting inspections and reporting findings to clients.
  • Leading and assisting with presentations and pitches.
  • Conducting investment or development appraisals using KEL, Argus Developer, and Excel.
  • Performing research and analysis on market demand, rental values, and yields.
  • Providing purchase and sale instruction advice and reports.
  • Ensuring effective cross-referral of clients to other disciplines within the business.

Business Development & Leadership

  • Developing and maintaining strong investment agency contacts.
  • Expanding and strengthening the client base across multiple disciplines.
  • Cross-selling services across agency, development, asset management, and building consultancy.
  • Setting and achieving annual targets for team and self-generated business.
  • Building and leading a high-performing investment team, with a focus on growth and expansion in the short to medium term.
