Property Parents’ Networking Event

Hartnell Taylor Cook aunched our first ever networking event for parents working in property in the Bristol area.

On Friday, we launched our first ever networking event for parents working in property in the Bristol area.

Acknowledging that combining parenting with a demanding career can be a challenge, our Property Parents’ Networking group was created for parents to gather together in an informal way in a child-friendly environment where they can continue networking (particularly important for those away from the workplace) and discuss both the challenges but also the rewards of the dual roles of being a parent and a professional.

Hosted at a local venue called Hannah’s House, 13 attendees – a mix of men and women with their children – from a range of firms including HTC, CBRE and KMW properties participated. Discussion involved the challenge of returning to work after parental leave; guidance to those with questions and an exploration of flexible working opportunities within the industry. We were pleased to learn that HTC is leading the pack in the ability for parents to alter working patterns.

Congratulations to Beth Warren and Beth Bennett for organising the event. It was well-received by everyone attending and the next get-together is eagerly awaited.
