The Industrial Agency team has a position available in our Bristol office for an enthusiastic and driven individual, out-going personality, RICS qualified with 3-5 years+ post qualification experience in agency, ideally with Bristol market knowledge and have some market profile amongst peers.
As an independent advisor, Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP’s experienced and dedicated agency teams in London and Bristol advise on the acquisition, disposal, development and asset management issues on all types of property throughout the UK.
The successful candidate is expected to have experience in dealing directly with clients (rather than as a job processor) and have the confidence to advise clients in a reasoned and properly researched manner in keeping with the ideals of Hartnell Taylor Cook.
Key responsibilities:-
- Generating business through the use of e mail, telephone prospecting, individual initiatives and being aware of market activity
- Responding efficiently and effectively to enquires from clients and applicants
- Preparing Marketing literature
- Developing and liaising with key contacts, including solicitors, accountants and other professional bodies
- Understanding Accounts and Leases
- Using valuation techniques
- Dealing with clients in a timely and appropriate fashion
- Building internal and external relationships
- Liaising with several other departments to ensure delivery of all relevant services to the properties and to the client
Skills and Experience:-
- A proven track record and experience in commercial property, knowledge of Landlord & Tenant law including the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954
- Knowledge and experience of undertaking Lease renewals, rent reviews and lettings/disposals/acquisitions
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Be adaptable and able to work in different property sectors
- Good attention to detail, with a strong numerical and written ability
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel programmes
- Able to write clear, concise reports with well-argued conclusions & recommendations
- Driven attitude and able to work at pace
- It will be a distinct advantage if you have geographical knowledge of Bristol and surrounding area
- Hold a full UK driving licence
