A final beehive visit of the year

As summer rolls over into autumn at the end of this month, a group of us took a final opportunity to visit our beehives and learn more about bees and the important role they play in the environment.

Hartnell Taylor Cook team visits their bee hives

Set in the rolling hills outside of Bristol, our hives have been a site of activity recently as the bees gather in the last of the summer’s goodness to turn it into honey.

As always, we’d like to thank Martin of Knight’s Beekeeping for his instructive, informative and light-humoured introduction to our hives to our team, who ended the session with plenty of questions about the life-cycle of bees and the importance of supporting wildlife – especially bees – in the environment. We all found inspiration in the beautiful countryside, and felt the benefits of spending time surrounded by nature.

As we headed back to the office, our thoughts were buoyed by the anticipation of the jars of honey to come.
