Five members of our team had the unique opportunity to visit our beehives; a visit that proved as enlightening as it was enjoyable, and an experience that brought us closer to nature and our sustainability goals.

The visit, guided by Martin, our expert beekeeper from Knight’s Bees, provided an up-close look at the fascinating world of honeybees. We were taken through the workings of the hive, learning about the different roles within a colony, the importance of pollinators to the environment, and the seasonal cycle of bee activity. For many, it was our first time donning a beekeeping suit – a memorable experience in itself!

The group enjoyed the opportunity to observe the bees busily going about their work, including spotting the elusive queen bee. It was a fantastic chance to see sustainability in action and to better understand the role bees play in biodiversity and food production.

Our company beehives are just one part of our broader environmental strategy and they serve not only as a habitat for vital pollinators but also as an engaging educational tool for our people.

One attendee commented, “It was brilliant to get away from the desk and spend time in such a peaceful setting. I’ve learned so much – and I’ll definitely appreciate my next spoonful of honey a bit more!”

We’re proud to support bee populations and continue investing in initiatives that help protect the planet. A huge thank you to everyone who took part – and of course, to the bees for being such gracious hosts.
