Volunteering: Litter Picking at Brandon Hill

No sooner had January started than we undertook our first volunteering day! Stacey Webb, Senior Facilities Manager, joined Bristol BID (Business Improvement District) who organised the clean-up on Brandon Hill in central Bristol.

She joined a group of volunteers, who all braved the January weather on a day designed to huddle up indoors, and over the course of just an hour, the team filled up five bin bags of litter. They cleared a significant amount of rubbish, including glass bottles, cans, wrappers, cigarette packets and even a large firework box!

Everyone at Hartnell Taylor Cook is encouraged to volunteer in any capacity for a good cause of their choosing, and we offer one paid day a year to support this.

This isn’t the only recent volunteering story at Hartnell Taylor Cook; you can read HERE about our day of donating and wrapping up Christmas presents with St Mungo’s; and click HERE to read more about maintenance of a community garden in London.
