Our Bristol office team’s monthly charity event involved taking a small and enthusiastic group of colleagues on a rewarding 15km hike through the Black Mountains of South Wales.
The route took the team across the summits of Pen Cerrig Calch and Pen Allt Mawr, the latter being the third-highest peak in the Black Mountains. Blessed with clear conditions and good panoramic views, the group enjoyed a memorable day exploring one of the region’s most dramatic landscapes while raising money for a worthwhile cause.
The hike was organised as part of our ongoing programme of charity events, which encourage colleagues to come together outside the workplace, challenge themselves, and support the communities around us to raise money.
The event organiser, Ed Fenwick-Moore, donated his mountain guide fee directly to our chosen charity, St Mungo’s, with participants also contributing through donations.
We have supported St Mungo’s for the last two years because we find their work to support people experiencing homelessness and help them rebuild their lives particularly meaningful.
Events like this demonstrate the power of combining teamwork, wellbeing and charitable giving. Whether scaling mountain summits, selling home-made bakes or participating in community initiatives, our team continue to show remarkable commitment to supporting causes that make a real difference.
Thank you once again to Ed for organising and leading such an enjoyable and inspiring day, and to everyone who took part and contributed to the fundraising effort.
